Kirsty
is an artist who specialises in photographing animals and birds that capture
her heart. Her love of nature and man's best friend is portrayed in the Rappaw
Prints greeting card range which has steadily evolved since she created her
first card in 1990. Kirsty's initial models, orphaned wildlife she reared by
hand, prompted her to pursue a desire of producing quality cards that would
help raise the profile of animal advocacy and encourage their care and respect.
Thus, her 'Stamp Out Indifference' Rappaw Prints logo.
While undertaking a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree majoring in photography, Kirsty
cashed in her savings to buy a precious manual 503CX Hasselblad. It is with this
camera that she takes her remarkable photographs.
Kirsty now lives in the foothills of Tasmania's Mount Wellington with her husband
and young daughter. Her little white dog, Annie, several sheep and a flock of
free-ranging chickens also keep her company.
